    I have had the opportunity to experience the 2011 NCAA Convention as a member of the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The experience was life changing and very rewarding as I not only spoke on the convention floor but was able to spend time with Special Olympic's athletes from the area as the committee formally announced a partnership with the Special Olympics organization.

    I have also had the opportunity to serve as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President at SUNY Plattsburgh for 2 years totaling 4 years of service on the committee. During my tenure I have had the privilege of working with all athletic teams and their respective representative to the committee to create a more positive, student-athlete centered experience for Cardinal athletes while also helping to engage in and support community service efforts like the Buddy Walk and Cardinals Clip Cancer-St. Baldrick's Day event.
