Lessons
This lesson incorporates Dr. Seuss' book "The Butter Battle Book" and how it relates to the Cold War and the arms race, as well mutually assured destruction. It is a reading lesson that is intended for 10th graders.
This lesson is about the Industrial Revolution and the social impacts of it. It is about the exploitation of child labor, the changing roles of men, women, and children, and mass urbanization that occurred because of the Industrial Revolution. This lesson is geared towards 10th graders.
This lesson is geared towards middle school and above. It teaches how to use search terms to narrow down search results and how to differentiate between primary and secondary sources, as well as determining their validity.
This lesson is meant to complement a geography lesson. It shows different images of iconic landmarks and natural features. The students will have to determine where in the world they are based upon those images and plot their correct locations on a world map and a U.S. map. It is meant to be a fun activity that reinforces a world geography lesson.
