I've had a taste of something I will never forget. Traveling will forever be a part of my life — the people, the places and the food.
During my time spend abroad, I traveled to over nine different countries: England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Greece (Mykonos, Tinos, Syros and Santorini), Switzerland, Germany, Amsterdam, Italy and Austria.
I bring my work outside all year long: winter, summer, spring and fall. I'm an avid kayaker and hiker. I enjoy canoeing, ice fishing, swimming, snowshoeing and skiing.
While studying in Chester, England, I began a travel blog called skirts&dirt to bring my family and friends on the journey with me. It's not only an outlet for my writing, but it allows me to connect with people and share my experiences.
While I'm amateur at best, I enjoy taking pictures of nature and the people around me. I continuously practice with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ40. I've captured hundreds of moments during my travels: When in England.
This sport has been a part of my life since my senior year in high school. Initially, it was a way to lose weight, but after six months my coach inspired me to compete. I began my amateur boxing career in the summer of 2014. My first fight was in Amsterdam, NY, and my last two bouts were in Altona, NY.
I suffered an AC joint injury in my last fight and have not competed since. Yet, I remain active in boxing and have mentored students. Boxing has taught me dedication, perseverance and a willingness to succeed despite the odds.
