This is a listing of many fun, educational, and helpful math websites that have greatly assissted me. Enjoy!
1. AAA Math:
This customized website is sorted by grade level and topic. AAA Math
features explanations to problems, challenging and fun math related
games, and practice problems.
2. Math Playground:
This website is easily navigated by children of all ages and allows for
exploration into the five mathematical content strands. In addition,
fun educational games, logic puzzles, tutorial videos, and Math Casts are
found for various age levels and topics.
3. Figure This!:
Created by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics this website
offers fun activities for families and studnets to do outside of
school. To accomodate for studnets who speak
English as a second language, Figure This! is also available completley
in Spanish. With a teachers corner, studnets corner, and parents corner
this website is user friendly for all.
4. Cool Math:
This fully interactive website offers fun games that allows the user to
sharpen basic math facts and explore newly introduced concpets.
5. The Math League:
Designed for studnets in fourth grade to high school this website
specializes in contests, books, and math literature. The "Help
Facility" is one of kind with step-by-step instructions, definitions, examples, and explanations.
6. Count Us In:
Addition, subtraction, and basic number-sense and numeration is
communicated through everyday examples with fanciful illustrations.
7. Mathematics Lessons that are FUN! FUN! FUN!: Teacher related website that provides printable lessons for various types of math content areas and topics.
8. National Library of Virtual Manipulatives:
Plethora of manipulatives for grades K-12 that pertain to all five
mathematics content strands. Includes spinners, tangrams, virtual
geoboards, etc.
9. The Lesson Plans Page:
A complete collection of lesson plans for all subjects and
topics. Includes math, art, music, physical education, science, ELA,
history, and holiday lesson ideas. This website is completely free and requires
no registration. Wonderful resource to all teachers of any grade level.
10. Math Skills Practice Activities:
Designed for grades 3 to 5 this website targets all content strands
with fun and educational games and activities that are simple and easy
for studnets to use and do.
