My name is Sarah Baker and I live in a small town in northern Clinton County with my parents and my uncle. I am 20 years old and currently a junior at Plattsburgh State University. I am majoring in Elementary Education(Grades 1-6) and Special Education(Grades 1-6) with a concentration in mathematics and a minor in Studio Art. Needless to say I am a very busy person.
In addition to attending classes, I substitute at a local elementary school. I absolutely love this job becuse it allows me to view a wide range of classroom setups, classroom management programs, and stretgies that various teachers have within their classroom. Through this job I am gaining a lot of experience working with children of all age ranges and abilities. On weekends I work in my towns convenient store cooking, cutting deli meat, and waiting on customers.
Some hoobies that I have are reading, running, and swimming. I love to read and will read anything that I can get my hands on (I especially love fiction and fantasy novels). I run 3 miles everyday and to me this is the most relaxing experience ever. I also love to swim (only in pools though, I have a phobia of swimming in the lake, ocean, and/or river...I don't like the idea of fish swimming with me).
Other facts about me are that I love animals and have quite a few including 2 dogs, three geese, a turtle, 5 cats, and 2 guinea pigs. I love the New York Yankees but absolutley hate most other sports. I am engaged to my wonderful boyfriend Kyle and we are planning on getting married in about three years.
