Seeking a position at a company where I can utilize my experience as a digital artist and software engineer.
At SUNY Plattsburgh, I have learned about developing software which is convenient and accessible for various audiences and how to setup and manage computer systems. These skills prepare me for future software development or IT jobs by providing me a wide range of knowledge and experience with real-world projects and scenarios.
Here are some courses that are moving me toward my goal:
At Club International, our mission is to teach students about various different parts of the world and to remind them how uniquely diverse our college campus is. During our general meetings, we typically have a few people present on the area of the world that they are from or call home or would like to represent, and they share with us information about their pop culture, popular tourist attractions, bits of their native language, and even some information about current events and issues.
In the fall, we sponsor Night of Nations, which is an event which showcases SUNY Plattsburgh’s international and domestic students, their talents and their traditions through music, dance, poetry, and various other talents and acts. As of Spring 2017, we host an annual event called Miss International Plattsburgh (previously known as Miss Universe), which is a semi-formal event which aims to empower a diverse group of women at SUNY Plattsburgh by allowing them to showcase their culture via fashion and other expressions like song and dance.
At Korean Association, our mission is to teach students about Korean culture and language and offer suggestions for travel. We organize various events and activities to immerse the students, including a Korean Food Festival (a ticketed event) in the fall where students spend all day preparing authentic Korean cuisine to serve to members of the campus and community. We also participate in the Night of Nations event every year.
At Japanese Cultural Association, our mission is to teach students about Japanese culture and language and offer suggestions for travel. We organize various events and activities to immerse the students, including a Japanese Food Festival called 桜祭り (Sakura Matsuri) in the spring where students spend all day preparing authentic Japanese cuisine to serve to members of the campus and community. We also participate in the Night of Nations event every year.
