I have gained a lot my basic production training at Plattsburgh State University, through different hands on courses.
Being part of PSTV (Plattsburgh State Television) has allowed me to gain experience in studio productions and field production. I became familiar with Master Control, Sony DSR570 &250 camcorders, Ikegami HCD 57 Studio camera. I was involved in several shows, BLTV, Newscast, Cardinal Sports live, News Briefs, and various live basketball sports programming.
Television Studio Production was upper level hands on course, which taught me how to write, produce, assist, and direct a show. With different production assignments, such as writing script, story boards, and a prospectus, as well as directing a 30 second commercial and 5 minutes newscast, this course trained me to have the skills needed to work in a studio.
Through Linear/non linear course, I was involved and gain more knowledge about editing. Throughout this course was involved in different project that required editing creativity. Using other films, movie, and TV shows we had to perform changes of genre, create music video using movies, and creating movie trailers.
Multimedia and Design educated me in HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and Dreamweaver. Using Adobe Photoshop and flash I was able to create numerous production assignments and animations. Using Dreamweaver CS3 created my first web page!
