Statue of Socrates

"The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but too create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create men who are capable of doing new things." - Jean Piaget

My philosophy towards education centers around the idea that a good education should prepare students to become contributing members of society. Education should not just be an insitiution which creates robots who can attend college. It should be something which encourages students to follow their passions. Students, "who are capable of doing new things" can change the world in many different ways that dont always include a college degree.

Education should also be an ever changing experience, which teems with learning. It is the responisbility of the student and teachers to be flexible to the changing times. The classroom is a place for opinions to mix and new ideas to be learned. I hope to make the classroom an interactive and welcoming space for all students.
