For students:
Interactive Learning Video of the Lunar Cycle
This site gives a quick and interactive video with information on the moon phases.  Once the information portion is finished, students will then quiz themselves on the lunar phases.


Phases of the Moon
This website has students place the phases of the moon in the correct order.  It also has links to the facts of the phases of the moon, as well as other links regarding the solar system.

This website has students play a memory game of matching the correct moon phases.


Phases of the Moon Interactive Challenge
This website is an interactive challenge for students.  There are three levels in which students will place the correct phase of the moon in the space provided.  Once all levels are complete, students will get a certificate that they can print out in which the teacher will write their name.


Wonderville
This website has an interactive video of the phases of the moon and allows the student to learn about the phases and then play a game to make the correct moon phase.  Once the correct moon phase is detected, more information is given on that phase and/or the moon.

 

For teachers:
Kahoot!
This website is a fun way to quiz students on their knowledge of content being learned.  It is a multiple-choice style quiz.


Quizlet
Quizlet is another site that provides a fun way to quiz students on their knowledge of content being learned.


Quizizz
Quizizz is a fun multiplayer quiz game that allows students to practice together.  It can also be used as an individual quiz game where educators can see the progress of their students.  Quizzes need to be assigned by the teacher in which students will then enter the code and their name.  It is a multiple-choice style quiz that is timed, and the instructor can see how each student is performing.  The results are private and only the student and teacher know the quiz results.


Special Needs- Teacher Resources
This website contains information for special education teachers on how they can enhance their teaching strategies for different types of disabilities that some of their students may have.  It gives you ideas for curriculum strategies, classroom management, and resources on teaching special needs students.

 

For parents, teachers, and students:
PBS Learning Media
This website proves educational videos, interactive activities, and documents that are sorted by grade level, subject, and media type.


Mr. Nussbaum
This website features over 3,500 content pages.  I found a section on phases of the moon and this will be great for my students grades 7-12.  This is also a great tool for parents to use with their children at home.


NASA
This website provides information for educators, students, and parents to learn more facts on space missions, planets, and anything regarding our solar system.  This site also provides pictures and videos.

Steallarium

Software based site that you download to your computer in which you can see the sky at different times of day, different planets, constellations, the moon, etc.

 

Prezi

This website allows you to make presentations that are fun! You can include pictures, animations, and choose fun layouts that are provided.
