Podcasts

Until I took this class i did not even know what a podcast was. Know that i know i download them all the time. I think that podcasts are a great device to use for teaching. Teachers could make their own podcasts to go along with a lesson or they can search and use podcasts that others have already created. I think this is a very useful and will benefit the students and teachers who use them.

Assistive and Adaptive Technology

My visit to Student Support Services was very informative and amazing. It is wonderful that there are so many resources available for a person with a disability. The resources were very useful and a lot of times necessary for certain disabilities. The braille printer was amazing but may favorite thing in the presentation was the world atlas printed in braille. We got to touch the maps and we also got to see many different devices that make life easier for people with disabilities.

Mass Media Laws

All throughout school i remember being told about copyright laws. I knew what was meant by that term but i never really knew much about the laws. This article was very informative. I learned a lot about laws pertaining to teachers using the professional works of others. Basically i learned the laws and limits of using someone else's work and also that you must give credit where it is due.

Internet

The internet is such a huge part of today's world. So many people depend on the internet daily. The internet is used as a communication device, a research device, and a informational/news center. The artilce that i read was interesting. Some of the information i was already familiar with but i liked that part about how the internet was created.
