Interactive Math Skills Site

This website is all interactive and includes a wide range of review topics such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication,    fractions, geometry and much more.  This is a good site for reviewing basic math skills at an end of a unit.

 

Woodlands Junior High

This website is another interactive site that explores three subjects, math, English and science.  This site is a designed to help all elementary grades K-6th plus junior high kids during school hours and helps with homework as well.

 

 

Kids Interactive Website

This site provides several links ranging from history, to math, and science.  In this site, students are able to take a tour through the Whitehouse, play hangman about Asian countries, match state capitals, and can create habitats for animals.

 

National Geographic For Kids

In this cool site children can explore and learn about different kinds of animals such as their habitat, eating habits, how they hunter and gather their prey, etc.  This site also provides activities, stories, and games that are all related to animal life.

 

 Atlapedia

This site provides students with information regarding every country in the world.  Within each country the site provides information on its geography, climate, people, religion, language, history, economy, etc. 

 

 Interactive Websites for Grades Pre-K-12

This site is set up by subjects such as language arts, math, science, social studies and assessment.  In each subject category there are a series of links that students, teachers, and parents can click onto to learn more about the curriculum or how to complete classroom assignments.

 

Bill Nye the Science Guy

Students can take a journey through the mind of Bill Nye and find information about his old shows, learn information about individual science topics, and can explore questions of the week.

 

Teach ID Bytes

Students and Teachers will find on this site several powerPoint’s that other teachers have created on all elementary subjects.  The site breaks down from subject areas, to topics, down to specific small topics that are related to the main topic addressed. 

 

Ask Jeeves for Kids

This site is a type of search engine that provides parents, teachers or students to ask questions in a subject area.  For example, if you ask Jeeves a question the site will provide a list of sites to choose from to get an answer from.

 

 The Nine Planets: A Multimedia Tour of the Solar System

This site lists books of each planet and explores each planet and its bibliography.  This is a fun and interactive site to teach students about the solar system.
