Hello! My name is Elizabeth Bold
and I am a senior at SUNY Plattsburgh. I am an elementary education major
with a concentration in history. I will be student teaching in the fall
of 2009 and hope to be continuing my education in the masters program. My
goal is to continue my education in the masters of special education where I
will someday be able to work with young children with all disabilities. While
taking courses under the masters program, I plan on subbing to further
my experience in the field.
I
grew up in a small rural town in Schuylerville, NY where the graduating classes
were between 120-130 students. When I am home I enjoy going to the
movies, skiing, shopping, going to the beach, kayaking, eating at Panera Bread, and
having campfires in my backyard with friends. I live a simple life but
love every minute of it. I have a wonderful family that consists of my
mom and dad and I have a younger brother name Eddie who has autism. I
truly enjoy every minute that I spend with my family because they have all helped me become who I am today.
I
love to volunteer and travel to different places to see what opportunities
exist in the real world. I have had the opportunity of volunteering
through two alternative winter break trips. On those trips I worked with
habitat for humanity, head start and helped with campsite wildlife in
Florida. I love watching any Pixar or Disney movies with my brother and
enjoy going on long walks in my town. I hope that
I have shared enough of my experiences with you and that you have a better idea
of who I am and what it was like for me to grow up in a small rural town.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
