The following is a description and some examples of some of the projects i have completed as an audio production major:
Audio Books:
These are books on tape for those who prefer not to read from a book but to listen to headphones. I am one of those who likes to listen with headphones because it allows me to multi task and it's easier for me to take in literature this way. I was taught how to use the best microphone techniques to get the best sound as well as choose the best talent to speak the book depending on its purpose.

Radio Drama:
Back before there was television, many people relied on the radio for entertainment. In my 464 class i was challenged to create a story and create imagery to convey a story to an audience that would have an entertaining impact. I used techniques of effect placement such as volume, imaging, and panning.

Movie Sound Effects:
My partner Steve Cox and i were given a movie clip that was about two minutes long and contained no audio. We did all of the sound effects, or foley work at my home studio and then worked in the Plattsburgh state audio lab to edit and produce the soundtrack containing dialog, music, and sound effects.
Live Performance Recording:
I went with my partner Steve Cox to the Beekmantown high school to capture a performance from their jazz band. They had just played a concert and they were working on some new music so we captured the new material they were working on and edited it into a cd that was sent to the conductor.
Music Recording:
For my final project i chose to produce a musician and i spoke with a very good violin player named Mike Underwood. I recorded him in my home studio and produced three very beautiful songs that were performed by Mike on violin and supported with vocals with Mike as well.
Click on the song below to preview each in MP3 Form. I have written, performed, mixed and mastered everything you hear at my very own studio. Overall i have over 10 recorded and i will be recording a new cd in the winter of 08.

Remix Project:
We were asked to work with some loops which are pre recorded libraries of sounds. The idea was to take the listener on a rollercoaster ride with the theme we pick. I chose the theme of jail break and then went from there. We were supposed to follow specific guidelines that the teacher asked us to follow. I came in second when voted by the class.

MultiMedia Projects:
In my multimedia class i learned to use Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and i've also learned to use flash. This very website was made with Dreamweaver, and below are some of the flash animations i created in class.
And here is a picture of a historical event that i was supposed to alter in such a way that it would change the course of history. This was done using Adobe Photoshop.
