Various Websites For Parents, Teachers, Student-Teachers, and Tutors:
ABCTeach-This
website is great for kids, parents, teachers, and student teachers. It has
tons of free worksheets, lesson and unit ideas and so much more. It has
over 5,000 free teaching tools that are available all sorted out by themes,
grade levels, and types of print outs. If a membership is purchased,
worksheets can even be personalized for your own needs!
Primary Games-This website has fun educational games for students and free printables for teachers on tons of different subjects. There is also a curriculum guide for this website to help teachers find games and activities that meet their needs. Each game contains a description, in the curriculum guide, of the activity or game and the suggested grade level.
First-School Preschool Activities and Crafts- This website is geared for the 2 to 6 year old in mind and for the caregiver, parent, teacher, and babysitter to use. There are coloring pages, craft ideas, tons of different themed activities like fairy tales/legends, nutrition, puzzles, music, plants...There are also other links to explore, such as KidZone.
Lesson Plans Page-This is a website with the teacher in mind. Their goal, "making teaching easier and improving thelives of teachers all at no cost." This website has worksheets and lessons from other teachers on all different subjects. Another great thing about this website is that it gives other tools for teachers as well. Some of these include fundraising ideas, great education magazines, tips on finding education jobs, and more!
GoTo Science's Graphic Organizers-Graphic organizers are a great tool to utilize in lessons. It is also essential that students have a working knowledge of how to use them and how to make them themselves. This website has tons of different types of graphic organizers to fit a variety of needs.
Time Savers for Teachers-This website has printable worksheets, certificates, awards, forms, etc. that teachers use throughout the year. Many of these forms are also interactive, allowing the teacher to type and edit the document right at their computer.
ESL Kid Stuff-This is a website for ESL and EFL teachers and teachers who have ESL students in their class. It specializes in flashcards, but there are many other tools, like articles, job listings, and song sheets.
The Teacher's Guide-this website has tons of things on it available for teachers, tutors, and parents. They range from worksheets to articles, this is a wonderful website. This website also links to virtual field trips and exhibits, interactive websites, and other resources available to enrich lessons.
Using English-This is another great ESL site that includes discussion forums, worksheets, articles, and much more! There is also a huge number of quizzes that teachers can pick and choose questions from to create their own. If you register (its free) on the website, there are even more resources available for teachers.
Education World-Lesson planning, professional development, technology integration, and school issues are just some of the great things that can be found on this website. What I love about this site is that it provides activities that can be used in lessons and has a huge number of articles to help teachers keep on top of the issues and changes in our education system.
