Today we will be learning about triangles and different types of triangles.  I will have each student answer the questions below.  I have provided a website to assist the students in their research.  To help find the answers you need to look at Step 1: First Glance and Step 2: In Depth on the website.  To move from one step to the other click on the step you want at the top of the page.  Click on the link "Questions" to print off a copy of the questions.

Let's Learn About Triangles

1.) What is a triangle?

2.) What two ways are triangles classified?

3.) Name the three types of triangles that are classified by their sides.

4.)
What is the sum of the three angles of a triangle?

5.) What is an obtuse triangle?

6.) What is an acute triangle?

7.) What is a right triangle?

Questions

Once you have answered the questions above, I want you to create the six different types of triangles.  Use the two different ways that triangles are classified to come up with the six different types.  You will create these triangles in paint.
